Brief Description:
The objective of FFS is to provide first hand information to the farmers in their fields to enable them to evaluate, fine tune and adopt the best crop product ion and crop protect ion technologies suitable to their location and resources for higher production and productivity. There will be one FFS for every 1,000 ha of area. One facilitator will be identified from the State Department of Agriculture who will run the school. There will be a season long training of the farmers in their fields for a single day in a week or fortnight, organized on the various aspects of crop production technologies of rice wheat and pulses.
Nature of Assistance:
The financial assistance will be limited to Rs.26,700/- per training per FFS in the identified districts.

How to apply?
The farmers participating in each FFS are to be selected by the District Agriculture Officer in consultation with village Panchayats. Farmers selected for FFS are as far as possible within contiguous area in a village or neighboring villages.

Brief Description:
The scheme aims to create gainful self-employment opportunities for unemployed agricultural graduates, agricultural diploma holders, intermediate in agriculture and biological science graduates with Post Graduation in agri-related courses.

The scheme covers full financial support for training and handholding, provision of loan and credit linked back ended composite subsidy

Brief Description:
Implemented through Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare. Farm Schools is operationalized at Block/Gram Panchayat level. Farm school is set up in the field of outstanding or achiever farmers. The ATMA GB will approve "Farm Schools" and "Farm School Trainers" for each season. Demonstrations in the farm school focus on Integrated Crop Management including field preparation, seed treatment, IPM, INM, etc. Farm Schools provide season long technical backstopping/ training to target farmers by having an interactive session once at least during each of the 6 critical stages in a cropping season.
Nature of Assistance:
Maximum service charge to achiever farmer/Implementing agency running the Farm School is 2,674. Exposure visit to trainee and trainer farmers

How to Apply?
The list of farmers having potential for organizing farm schools in the Block for different sectors will be identified jointly by Farmer Advisory Committee and Block Technology Team and sent to ATMA GB through the Panchayat Samiti. Criteria such as farmers for their success in adoption of technologies yield difference, and income rose in agriculture and other allied sectors are considered.
